Spicy Avocado Hummus

I was at a health foods store recently and came across a single-serving packet of spicy avocado hummus. I decided to try it. Well…yum! Between the ingredients listed on the packet and the recipe found at http://www.thenourishinggourmet.com/2013/06/spicy-avocado-hummus.html, I came up with this version:

15 oz can garbanzo beans
1 large or 2 small avocados
½ to 1 jalapeno, seeds and membrane removed
¼ cup olive oil
¼ cup water or cooking liquid
juice of 2 to 3 limes
2 tsp tahini/sesame oil
1 clove garlic, minced
½ tsp cumin
1 ½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper

Using a blender or food processor, blend all the ingredients together until you reach desired consistency.

This can be used as a dip with chips and veggies, or as a spread on wraps and sandwiches. I find it quite addictive!
